Use the health data you already have.

Healthier does not need its own watch. On iPhone it reads and writes through Apple Health. On Android it uses Health Connect. Anything that shares into those platforms can show up. Anything that does not, you can log by hand.

One place for your health data

Apple Health and Health Connect are the health record on your phone. Healthier reads from that record and writes back to it, so the meals, workouts, and sleep you keep are the same ones your other allowed apps can see. That is the opposite of a pile of apps that each hold a private copy, with duplicates in one place and gaps in another. You choose what is shared, in Settings, and you can turn it off there.

Checked against the app permissions on 2026-09-28. “Read” means Healthier can import it. “Write” means Healthier can also save it back.

Direct, and through Apple Health or Health Connect

There is no separate Garmin, Oura or WHOOP login inside Healthier. If that device or its app writes steps, workouts or sleep into Apple Health or Health Connect, Healthier can read them after you allow it in Settings → Health Data. MyFitnessPal is different: Healthier can import a MyFitnessPal diary. There is no Strava connection.

Without a wearable

You can use Healthier without connecting health data at all. Meals, workouts you type, and sleep you enter are enough for coaching. Connecting data adds steps, heart rate, routes and sleep when a source provides them.

Coming from MyFitnessPal

The app includes a MyFitnessPal import so a food diary does not have to start from zero. Workouts and sleep are not part of that import. They come from Apple Health, Health Connect, or from logging them in Healthier.

Sleep, including a manual fallback

Sleep can sync from Apple Health or Health Connect. Without a wearable, Healthier estimates the night from overnight phone movement, shows you the estimate, and you can change it in a tap. You can also type it in. If nothing is there, the day still works.

Questions

What can Healthier read from Apple Health or Health Connect?

Steps, workouts, heart rate, sleep, weight, energy, nutrition, water, body fat and blood glucose, as in the table. Height is read on Health Connect only. Some of those can also be written back.

Will my Garmin, Oura or WHOOP work?

If it writes to Apple Health or Health Connect, yes, for the types it shares. Healthier does not connect to those accounts directly.

Can I use Healthier without a watch?

Yes. Logging meals and entering workouts and sleep yourself is a complete way to use it.

Can I bring my MyFitnessPal history?

Yes. Healthier can import a MyFitnessPal diary. Sleep and workouts are imported separately, or logged in the app.
